Who Is Qualified For A Bursary
If you are a South African citizen, intend to enroll in school in 2023, are currently enrolled in a public university or TVET college, and match the criteria given below, you may qualify for

- You must be a disabled individual whose yearly household income is no more than R600 000 or whose annual household income is no more than R350 000.
- students who began their university education before 2024 and whose household income is less than R122 000 annually
Documents Needed To Apply For NSFAS 2023
You must upload the following files to your NSFAS Bursary Online Application for 2023
- It’s necessary to provide both a personal phone number and email address.
- You must provide a copy of your ID or birth certificate.
- You must also provide copies of your ID and the IDs of any parents, guardians, or spouses you may have.
- You do not need to present any income documentation if your spouse, your parents, or your guardians are SASSA grant beneficiaries, or if you can supply one year’s worth of IRP5 (if applicable) as proof of their income.

How To Submit An Online NSFAS Application
Application for NSFAS Account Funding:
- Make alterations to an existing myNSFAS account or create a new one.
- Visit www.nsfas.org.za to see.
- Set the “myNSFAS” tab to active.
- Decide to “Register.”
- Please check the appropriate box to allow NSFAS to validate your information.
- Please enter your ID number into the form exactly as it is shown on your South African Identity Document (ID)
- Enter your full name and last name using your ID number as a guide.
- Your current email address must be entered.
- Check the details of your email.
- Your mobile number should be entered.
- Create a password.
- Verify the ID image and password.
- Decide to “Register.”
- An OTP will be sent to the specified email address and mobile number, and it will be good for 24 hour
- Type the OTP in and click “Submit.”
- You have now finished the re-registration process.
- To be taken to the online application form, click the APPLY tab.
How to Send an NSFAS Consent Form
Once the form is complete, go to the MyNSFAS portal and log in. You may post any unfinished supplemental items. Before you can click “Submit Documents” in the menu, the papers must be uploaded.
- The process is finished once all documents have been uploaded and you have seen the message “Outstanding application documents submitted successfully uploaded.”
- If you filed the necessary paperwork yet there was still a problem, the documents most likely aren’t clear. If you need assistance using the camera on your phone to take images, go to an NSFAS or NYDA office.
