My Nsfas Account Profile Is Locked

However, a secured account is required in order to use this program’s features. For individuals who have registered for the programme but misplaced their code, here is information on how to unlock your user profile in 2024 by changing your NSFAS password.
After the National Student Financial Aid Scheme receives confirmation from the institutions that you have received an academic offer, all applicants will be informed of the results of their applications. Prior to the start of the academic year, you will be notified of this via SMS, email, OR your National Student Financial Aid Scheme account. The straightforward methods listed here will enable you to permanently unlock your NSFAS user profile if it has been locked for any reason and you are having trouble doing so.
To unlock your NSFAS Wallet, log into your myNSFAS account and go to NSFAS Connect. Create a case and submit a picture of your ID using a cell phone. Provide your current cell phone number and indicate that your NSFAS Wallet is locked.
Documents Needed To Unlock Your My Nsfas User Profile
Nsfas beneficiaries who have issues with the My Nsfas User Profile should provide the following documents when writing to Nsfas to unlock their profile:
- Provide your ID number
- Full names with surname
- Your cellphone number
- Email address
- Your physical and/or postal address
- Write a details
How To Unlock My Nsfas User Profile
Here is how to reset the NSFAS password to unlock your user profile in 2023:
- Visit https://my.nsfas.org.za/Application/recovery.jsp
- Input your ID number and press Submit (If you get User Profile that doesn’t exist, You need to re-register)
- Select ” I can’t remember my password ” on the dropdown and click submit
- Check your email for more instructions.
NB: The password you put should be unique, don’t use the old password. Your account will be unlocked immediately.
How To Reset Your NSFAS Wallet
To reset the Nsfas wallet follow the procedures below:
- Log on to your myNSFAS account
- click NSFAS Chat to chat with one of their friendly consultants. To assist you with resetting your NSFAS Wallet account, and ID number as well as password
- Provide your cellphone number and email address.
- Dial short code *134*176#
- Enter your password
- Click Send
- Select option 2. Query
- View cash balance and transactions
