My Nsfas Balance Online Check

NSFAS-Funded students who qualify to receive allowances directly from NSFAS will receive cash funds in their NSFAS Wallets. Nsfas provides funding to qualified students who are enrolled in either a public university or Tvet colleges in South Africa. The funds are paid directly from Nsfas to the account wallet of the student and can be withdrawn and spent by students from any of the registered merchants of Nsfas.

But as it has always been, some students find it difficult to check the balance of their wallet and also to know if they have received funds from Nsfas. But to you on this site, you are lucky because this article has published below the procedures by which a Nsfas applicant can check if they have received funds from Nsfas in their wallet.

Nsfas Application Date Date For 2024/2025

Students who are currently enrolled in any of the public colleges and universities in South Africa and are in need of financial assistance are to begin their applications on the 28th of September and the application will be closing on the 31st of January 2023.

How To Register For  My Nsfas Account

Kindly register online as a user on myNSFAS or re-register a myNSFAS account

• Go to www.nsfas.org.za
• Click on the “myNSFAS” tab
• Click on “Register“
• Tick the box to allow NSFAS to verify your details
• Then enter your ID number on the field as it is stated on your South African Identity Document (ID)
• Type in your full name and surname as per your ID number
• Type in your current email address
• Confirm your email address
• Type in your cellphone number
• Create a password
• Confirm password
• Upload your ID Copy
• Click on register
• An OTP will be sent to the email and cell number provided (this OTP expires after 24 hours)
• Type in the OTP and click submit
• You have now completed your re-registration
• Please click on the APPLY tab to be directed to the online application form.

What you will need to receive your NSFAS allowances via My Nsfas Ewallet?

• Your own cell phone and valid SIM card
• You must sign your NSFAS Bursary Agreement if you are a new student to NSFAS
• You will not need to withdraw cash to pay your landlord or any registered merchant.

Your NSFAS Wallet will allow you to withdraw cash and/or spend at any merchant registered by NSFAS. Allowance amounts are determined through consultation with institutions, and communicated to NSFAS when you register.
