The Nsfas application for the year 2023/2024 will be open from the 28th of September and will be closing on the 31st of January. Applicants are to apply while the applications are open because Nsfas might not extend the application date. Applicants are to make sure they are qualified and have provided all the required documents as requested by Nsfas.
Who Is Qualified To Receive Nsfas For 2023/2024
The following persons are qualified to receive Nsfas bursaries:
- All South African citizens
- All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
- Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
- A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
- Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.

- Go to www.nsfas.org.za to access the NSFAS website.
- Alternatively, you can use myNSFAS.
- My.nsfas.org.za/mynsfas/selfservice provides direct access to the self-service website.
- Please enter your email address and password to log into your account.
- Click to go to NSFAS Chat.
You can email the National Student Financial Aid Scheme by using their email address. How? Read on.
- Open Gmail on your computer or smartphone.
- Select “+ Compose” by tapping it. Your Gmail inbox’s upper-left corner is where you may locate it. When you do this, a “New Message” window pops up in the bottom right corner of the page.
- The following step is to enter the NSFAS email address.
- info@nsfas.org.za. In the “To” or “Recipients” text box located at the top of the New Message window, type info@nsfas.org.za.
- Add a subject. Enter the desired subject for the email by clicking the “Subject” text box.
- Write your email now, addressing any queries, issues, etc. Include any essential files and as many details as you can (images, PDFs, Docs, PPTs, etc.).
- Choose Send. It is a blue button that may be found in the lower left-hand corner of the email window.
- Await the reply from NSFAS.
