R350 Sassa Online Application 2024/2025
Asylum seekers, permanent residents and Citizens of South Africa who are facing financial difficulty due to the outbreak of the Covid 19 pandemic and other national disasters can now apply for the Sassa R350 grant for 2024/2025. It is recommended that applicants submit their applications before the closing date. The Sassa R350 grant applicants are informed that no documents need to be uploaded and that personal information will be provided electronically.
In order for Sassa to contact them and inform them of the results of their application, applicants must make sure that Sassa has their mobile number (cell phone number). If SASSA should reject your application, you have the opportunity to file an appeal with the Department of Social Development within the month that your application was rejected. After your application is rejected, you will receive information on how to file an appeal. Every month that the application is turned down without an appeal request, the initial judgement will stand.
R350 Sassa Application Date 2024/2025
Srd 350 Sassa’s online application begins in January and it continues every month of the year. Failure to submit your application on time will automatically deny you the grant.

Who Is Qualified For R350 Sassa Application 2024/2025
The following are the persons who qualify to receive the Sassa R350 grant;
- You must be a South African Citizen
- You must be a Refugee in South Africa
- You must be an Asylum Seeker in South Africa
- You must be a Special Permit Holder in South Africa
- You must be between 18 and 60 years old
- You must meet the means test, with an income of R624 or less per month
- You must be unemployed and NOT be receiving financial support from any other source
- It would help if you had insufficient financial means to support yourself
- You must NOT be receiving any other social grants
- You must NOT be contributing towards or eligible for UIF payment
- You must NOT be receiving a stipend from NSFAS (National Student Financial Aid Scheme)
Types Of Sassa R350 Grant Available In 2024/2025
The grants are:
- Older person’s grant (old age pension)
- Child support grant
- Care dependency grant
- Grant in aid (if you live on a social grant but need someone to take care of you)
- War veteran’s grant
- Foster child grant
- Disability grant

Applicants or their proxy will need to confirm or provide the below information to enable SASSA to consider their application:
- You must reside in South Africa
- You must meet any 1 of these criteria:
- You must be a South African Citizen
- You must be a Refugee in South Africa
- You must be an Asylum Seeker in South Africa

- Send a message via WhatsApp to 082 046 8553
- Provide your personal details
- You will receive a Reference number, an OTP and a link to click
- Click on the provided link, fill in your OTP and verify your account
- Fill in your surname and ID number
- Confirm the personal details that you provided via the WhatsApp chat

- In your internet browser, visit the SRD Website
- Fill in your ID number and mobile number and click “send SMS”
- You will receive a 6-digit OTP via SMS
- Insert the OTP number on the SRD website and click “verify pin”

- In your internet browser, visit the SRD Website
- Click on the SRD R350 Grant assistance chatbox
- Fill in your ID number and mobile number
- On the chat, choose the option to apply for the SRD R350 grant
- Click on the SRD website link provided by the SASSA Chatbot
- Follow the SRD website steps
