Sassa Grant For September 2024/2025

Applicants applying for the Sassa grant in September will need a valid South African ID number and an active cellphone number. You can visit the Sassa website and follow the instructions to complete the online application form. Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an SMS with a reference number, which you can use to track the status of your application.

South African citizens, asylum seekers, a refugee or Special Permit Holders who are between the ages of 18 and 60 and going through financial difficulty are now eligible to apply for an Srd grant from Sassa. Sassa introduced the R350 grant in response to the COVID-19 outbreak and other serious national tragedies. Typically, payments are paid during the first week of every month (except payment dates to be between 1 and 6 August 2024):

  • From the 2nd of September, Sassa grants for the aged will be released
  • From the 3rd of September, Sassa grants for the physically impaired or people with a disability will be released.
  • From the 4th of September, Sassa will release the grant for children

Who Qualifies ForSassa For September 2024/2025
