What is the NSFAS application deadline
September 1, 2022, through September 28, 2022, will be the NSFAS application period for 2023. Do so as soon as you can.
Requirement For Applying Bursary
- Give your personal email address and phone number.
- A copy of your identification or birth certificate is required.

- A Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form must also be filled out and signed by an applicant who has been identified as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development.

Reasons NSFAS Application Will Fail
Your NSFAS application has been denied for the following reasons:
- Your household’s income was independently confirmed by a third party and NSFAS determined that it is higher than the required threshold of R350 000 or R600 000 for people with disabilities.
- Since you are a student who started attending school before 2023, your household’s income is below the R122 000 cutoff.
