The Sassa 350 grant application is currently open for South African Citizens, Refugees, Asylum Seekers and Special Permit Holders who are between the ages of 18 and 60 years, who have insufficient means, who do not receive social grants on behalf of themselves or who are not contributing to or eligible for UIF payment and have no financial support from any other source. Applicants are urged to begin their application as early as possible before the application deadline.
Should your application be denied, you will have the right to appeal the SASSA decision by lodging an appeal with the Department of Social Development in the month your application was declined. The process to lodge an appeal will be provided with the notification that your application has been declined. Failure to request an appeal for each month that the application is declined will result in the original decision being sustained.
Application Date For 350 Sassa Grant
Providing food in the form of a food parcel or a food voucher is considered a Social Relief of Distress. Some provinces provide this help in the form of money. The duration of Social Relief of Distress is typically up to three months, although it may be extended for an additional three months.
Applications for Sassa 2024/2025 are currently ongoing which makes it the right time to submit your application if you are in dire hard need financially as a South African citizen, asylum seeker, refugee etc. Applications are open from January to December on monthly bases.

Application Qualification For 350 Sassa Grant
The following are the peoples who qualify to receive Sassa Srd 350 grants;
- You must be a South African Citizen
- You must be a Refugee in South Africa
- You must be an Asylum Seeker in South Africa
- You must be a Special Permit Holder in South Africa
- You must be between 18 and 60 years old
- You must meet the means test, with an income of R624 or less per month
- You must be unemployed and NOT be receiving financial support from any other source
- It would help if you had insufficient financial means to support yourself
- You must NOT be receiving any other social grants
- You must NOT be contributing towards or eligible for UIF payment
- You must NOT be receiving a stipend from NSFAS (National Student Financial Aid Scheme)

- You will receive a Reference number, an OTP and a link to click
- Click on the provided link, fill in your OTP and verify your account
- Fill in your surname and ID number
- Confirm the personal details that you provided via the WhatsApp chat

- You will receive a 6-digit OTP via SMS
- Insert the OTP number on the SRD website and click “verify pin”
