To assist studnt in achieving their academic goals, EWC has made it feasible for its students to apply for Nsfas bursaries.The Ekurhuleni West College Nsfas application period for the 2023 academic year will start on September 28, 2022. A student must attend the South African Ekurhuleni West TVET College in order to be eligible for funding.

Date for Ekurhuleni West TVET Colleges NSFA Online Application

Ekurhleni West Tvet College’s online application period for the academic year 2022 will begin on September 28, 2022, and end on January 31, 2024. Applicants should submit their applications while they are still being accepted in order to avoid disappointment.

What Do The EWC Nsfas Covers

Applicants who are approved for NSFAS funding are covered by the following:

  • Registration
  • Tuition​

Allowances for:

  • Food
  • Accommodation or transport
  • Learning material
  • Personal care

EWC Nsfas Application Requirements 2024

  • Applicants need to be South African citizens.
  • Be a Registered or intend to register for NCV or NATED (Report 191) Programme
  • A Person in need of financial support.
  • Academically good students who need financial support.

The following documents are needed for NSFAS Application;

  • Authorized copies of the Identity Document
  • Original Academic Results Latest
  • Proof of parent’s income
  • Proof of Death Certificate

  • Ekurhuleni West Tvet College students applying for the Nsfas Bursaries must follow the process below to guide them:
  • Go to www.nsfas.org.za
  • Click on myNsfas Tab
  • Click on register
  • Tick the box to allow Nsfas to verify your details
  • Capture your ID number as it is stated on your ID documents
  • Type in your full name and surname as indicated on the ID
  • Enter your current and functioning email address
  • Confirm your email address
  • Enter your cell phone number
  • Create a password for yourself
  • Confirm the password you generated
  • Upload your ID copy
  • Click on Register to apply
  • An OTP will be sent to the email and phone number you provided ( the OTP will expire within 24hrs)
  • Type in the OTP and click on SUBMIT
  • Your Nsfas application has been successfully completed

Duration of NSFAS Appeals

Students should complete their form and update their portal information before using the self-service portal to check the status of their 2022 NSFAS appeal. If the appeal was successful, the portal will say “Approved for funding subject to registration.”If the appeal is rejected, the status checker will say “Application Failed.”

The appeals procedure has a maximum 30-day limit.There may be moments when things move more fast. However, it shouldn’t take more than a month for NSFAS to react to your application.

How Can I Gete A NSFAS Laptop

When you order your laptop (by following the aforementioned steps) and you have passed all necessary inspections, NSFAS will contact you to arrange for the pickup of your laptop at the campus where you are registered.
