Govchat Srd
Govchat Srd Grant
GovChat SRD is a platform that was introduced in South Africa to facilitate the application process for the SRD grant, which was a temporary emergency relief measure provided by the government to support vulnerable individuals and households during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and other national disasters. The GovChat SRD platform was designed to allow individuals to apply for the grant using their mobile phones, as well as to receive updates on the status of their application and any changes to the grant program.
The GovChat SRD platform was made available to SA citizens, permanent residents, and refugees who met the eligibility criteria for the SRD grant. The platform aimed to streamline the application process and improve access to the grant, particularly for those who may have had difficulty accessing other channels for applying, such as online or in-person applications. It’s important to note that the SRD grant program has since ended in April 2021 and as such, the GovChat SRD platform is no longer available for new applications.
