The online Nsfas application for the year 2024/2025 academic year has just been opened to qualified candidates to apply for financial assistance. Do you wish to study or are already studying at a public university or TVET college and come from a family with an income of R350 000 or less, then apply for Nsfas. How Long Does It Take To Hear From Nsfas After Account Application
- Within 4 to 6 weeks of submitting their application, each applicant should see a response in the status section of the Nsfas application.
However, occasionally more time may be needed due to background checks and verification processes.
MyNsfas Account Registration Process
The following are the step to step procedures to guide you in registering for Nsfas funding for 2024/2025:
- Visit www.nsfas.org.za and log in.
- Select the myNSFAS tab.
- Click to register.
- To allow NSFAS to verify your information, check the appropriate box.
- The ID number that appears on your ID document should then be noted.
- Name and last name should be entered precisely as they appear on your ID.

- Create a password.
- Check the password.
- Post a copy of your ID.
