If you are a beneficiary at Nsfas, the only way you can be communicated to is by your email address and phone numbers so should you change your phone number or email address, you should keep Nsfas informed by updating your status. If you would like to change your contact details, you may do so by following these easy steps:
- Login on the myNSFAS student portal
- Enter your username and password, then click SIGN IN!
- Click on My Personal Details.
- Remove the incorrect information then update your contact details.
- Click on Update Your Details, to save all the changes you have made.
Congratulations if you have been able to update your status.

Open Date for NSFAS Applications
The NSFAS online submission platform will launch on September 28, for the subsequent academic year. On the NSFAS application opening day, applicants are the only ones who are permitted to browse and submit award applications.

Applicants must bare in mind that, NSFAS needs to be paid back. Students borrow money to cover their tuition costs. The loan, however, is only required to be paid back once you have obtained your qualification, finished high school or college, found employment, launched a business, and your annual income is R30,000 or more.
