As a student forgetting a password can be stressful, especially if you are trying to log onto your NSAFS portal for any important information regarding the funding. Fortunately changing or resetting your myNSFAS portal password is very easy as long as you have an ID number and mobile number information you registered with when creating your previous account and you are good to go without any difficulties at all.

How to reset the MyNSFAS portal password?
If you enter the wrong password or forget your password, you can reset your password on the NSFAS portal by following these simple steps:
If you want to reset your myNsfas portal password, here is what you should do.
1. Got to www.nsfas.org.za
2. Click ‘forgot password and type in your password
3. Choose one of the following options.
4. Click on the Forgot Your Password button then input your ID number.
- I can’t remember my username
- I can’t remember my password
- I can’t remember my username and password
5. Choose the relevant option
6. Click submit
7. A one-time pin (OTP) will be sent to you via SMS and email to the cellphone number and email you provided
8. Check your cellphone or email for the OTP is only valid for 24 hours
9. Type the OTP number in the provided block
10. Click submit
11. A link to reset your login details will be sent to your email and SMS
12. Click on the link that was received through SMS or email
13. Follow the reset process
14. Create a new password by following the instruction on the screen
15. Click ‘submit’
And you’re done. You should now have a new password set. Login My Nsfas Status
