Students who are NSFAS-funded and meet the requirements to receive allowances directly from NSFAS will get cash in their NSFAS Wallets.
Nsfas offers to finance to eligible students studying in South African Tvet colleges or public universities. Students can withdraw and use the funds from any of the Nsfas-registered merchants after they have received them directly from Nsfas into their account wallets.

For the academic year 2024–2025, interested and qualified applicants of Nsfas are now invited to apply for funding to assist their academic activities. Successful applicants who are awarded NSFAS bursaries can access their allowances using the NSFAS E wallet.  You can withdraw money from your NSFAS E Wallet or make purchases at any store that has registered with NSFAS.

The NSFAS E Wallet Login must be completed at celbux.appspot.com. then log in using your password and mobile number. To view your NSFAS wallet balance, click the transactions link under the more tab. You can log into your NSFAS account using the myNSFAS site to view any additional NSFAS requirements.

  • An SMS introducing you to NSFAS Wallet will be sent to you.
  • When you receive an SMS, open it, dial *134*176#, and reply with your ID number to confirm your account.
  • After that, you will get a password to use when making purchases. Keep in mind that you must always keep this password safe!

Here are the steps on how to get started with your NSFAS Wallet:

  • You will receive an SMS welcoming you to NSFAS Wallet
  • Once you receive the SMS, open it and verify your account by dialling *134*176# and replying with your ID number
  • You will then receive a password that you will use when transacting. Note that you need to keep this password secure at all times!
  • Do not keep or save your password on your cell phone and always keep your cell phone’s screen locked with a password or pin.
