Through the National Student Financial Aid Scheme, students who intend to enroll in a public university or college in 2023 can now submit an application for NSFAS bursaries (NSFAS). The government organization NSFAS provides loans and scholarships to help students enroll because a TVET institution or one of the 26 public universities can only admit students from houses with a certain level of income. (This applies to all sources of income for all members of the family, including grants from SASSA, the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), and retirement, life, disability, or other benefits received in a single payment or over the course of a year.)
  • a certified copy of your most recent transcript or set of test results. (If applicable)
  • You don’t need to submit this if you’re in grade 12 right now.)
  • records from the university’s registrar (if applicable)
  • travel and lodging documentation (if applicable)
  • Download the consent form, complete it, and have each applicant who has declared income sign it.
  • If you have a disability, download and complete the Disability Annexure A Form.
