Every month of the year, Sassa gives grants to applicants who have applied. Sassa introduced the R350 grant in response to COVID-19 outspread and other serious national disasters. This grant was designed to provide short-term relief to unemployed individuals who are not receiving any other form of social grant or income. The application process for the R350 grant is done online and through WhatsApp.
To apply for the SASSA R350 grant in August 2024, you will need to have a valid South African ID number and an active cellphone number. You can visit the Sassa website and follow the instructions to complete the online application form. Sassa R350 Application Date For August 2024
Typically, payments are paid during the first week of every month (except payment dates to be between 1 and 6 August 2024):
- From the 2nd of August, Sassa grants for the aged will be released
- From the 3rd of August, Sassa grants for the physically impaired or people with a disability will be released.
- From the 4th of August, Sassa will release the grant for children
