Sassa App Application
The Sassa GovChat app is a mobile application designed to render assistance to South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) beneficiaries to access and manage their social grants easily. The app was developed in partnership with GovChat, a South African-based technology company, and was launched in 2020. GovChat enhances governance transparency and accountability through the provision of tools for citizens to measure service levels, combined with technology and empirical data analytics for government to improve them.
GovChat gives every South African the power to participate in improving the lives of all citizens. The app has been designed for desktop computers as well as mobile phones. GovChat makes it simple for citizens to play an active part in governance whilst on the go. Any smartphone with an internet connection can use the Govchat app, which is free to download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Allowing any governing body to better understand the realities and challenges facing citizens, and to act accordingly to help improve their lives.
