Sassa April Application 2024/2025

Sassa has released the money for the payment of grants applied for in the month of April 2024/2025. The first payment will be made to older people (on April 3), then disability grants (on April 4) and child support grants (05 April). To be clear, if the second day of the month falls on a weekend or a holiday, the payment will occur the next business day. Furthermore, SASSA continues to warn beneficiaries to remain vigilant of misleading information, criminals and scammers. During grant payment days, there are a lot of transactions clients make to meet their various needs. SASSA thus cautions clients to exercise care in accessing their social grants.
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is on schedule with the preparations to start paying out social grants on April 3, 2024. All clients are urged by SASSA to use various methods for gaining access to their funds.  Retailers and ATMs are two of the techniques in use.  The SASSA Gold card is still valid for usage by social grant recipients, and they are able to use it anywhere that accepts bank cards.  The card may also be used at establishments across the country that offer the cashback feature, such as Shoprite, Checkers, U-save, Pick ‘n Pay, and Boxer.
SASSA to urges applicants for the COVID Social Relief of Distress Grant of R350 to check and update, on the online platform, their banking details when required. SASSA will keenly monitor the April payments to stick to paying the right social grant, to the right person, at the right time and place.
