Sassa Grant In Aid Application

The Grant-In-Aid is a payment made by the South African government to current social grant beneficiaries who are unable to care for themselves in order for them to hire a full-time caregiver. As of October, the Grant-In-Aid has a monthly value of R480. To apply for Sassa Grant in aid, eligible individuals can visit their nearest SASSA office or use the SASSA Grant App to apply online. The application process involves filling out a form, submitting supporting documents, and providing information about the recipient’s income, living situation, and other relevant details.

Applications are examined to ensure that grant recipients still satisfy the requirements for the grant in order to maintain their eligibility. Applications are examined to see if your situation has altered. Three months prior to the application review date, Sassa will notify applicants in writing. The notification will let you know when, where, and how the review will be done, as well as what will happen next. Bedridden applicants will have their homes visited. You will be given a receipt of compliance after the review is finished.

Once a grant application is approved, recipients can receive their grant payments through a Sassa payment card, which can be used at selected retailers and ATMs. Recipients can also check their grant balance and payment dates through the SASSA Grant App.
