Sassa Grants Application 2024/2025

The South African Social Security Agency termed Sassa is a governmental agency that ensures the provision of comprehensive social security services against vulnerability and poverty within the constitutional and legislative framework. The act provides a national legislative framework for the provision of different types of social grants, social relief of distress, the delivery of social assistance grants by a national agency and the establishment of an inspectorate for social security.

Applicants of Sassa are informed that personal information will be provided electronically and there is no need to upload any documentation. Applicants should ensure that they provide SASSA with a Mobile Number (cell phone number) where Sassa can reach them to provide them with feedback on the status of their application. You can also obtain the status of your application on this website.

Should your application be denied, you will have the right to appeal the SASSA decision by lodging an appeal with the Department of Social Development in the month your application was declined. The process to lodge an appeal will be provided with the notification that your application has been declined. Failure to request an appeal for each month that the application is declined will result in the original decision being sustained.
