SASSA 2024 July: Grant Payment Date

The acronym for the South African Social Security Administration is SASSA (SASSA). The government organization in South Africa is in charge of managing social security services, including payments. Additionally, it oversees and distributes grants and allowances to various groups of persons who are at risk of poverty and require government assistance to raise their level of living.

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has revealed the July application period and payment procedures, among other crucial details. Sassa July 2023-2024 Application Requirements

If you are applying for Sassa grants in July 2023, you need to attach to your application the following documents:

  • ID document of the child
  • Proof of address
  • Proof of income and assets
  • Three (3) months’ bank statement
  • ID document of caregiver
  • Latest medical information about the care-dependent child

Applicants will need to provide the following information;

  • Identity Number or Department of Home Affairs Refugee permit number
  • Name and Surname as captured in the Identity Document
  • Gender and Disability
  • Contact details – Cell phone number
  • Residential Address

 

SASSA Payments Qualification For July 2023-2024

The Department of Social Developments of South Africa has provided the following guidelines to help you determine whether you are eligible for SASSA grants:

  • It would be ideal to be a citizen or permanent resident of South Africa.
  • You have to live in South Africa.
  • None of the other social grants is available to you.
  • You might not receive the treatment you require in a federal facility.
  • If you’re single, you’re limited to earning R78 120, and if you’re married, you’re limited to earning R156 240.
  • Your assets cannot surpass R1 115 400 if you’re single and R2 230 800 if you’re married.
