If your Sassa March grant application has been approved for either Older Persons Grant, Disability Grant or Children’s Grant, you may be wondering when you will receive your grant payment. This article has published the payment dates for March for any of the grants mentioned above (any other types of social grants are paid shortly after these grants). Grant holders may withdraw their money any time after the payment date (the money will still be in the account, even if you do not draw it out on the exact payment date). Applicants who have applied for Sassa grants in March should expect to receive the fund within the first week of the month.
The first payment will be made to older people (on March 3), then disability grants (on March 4) and child support grants (05 March). To be clear, if the second day of the month falls on a weekend or a holiday, the payment will occur the next business day. Furthermore, SASSA continues to warn beneficiaries to remain vigilant of misleading information, criminals and scammers. During grant payment days, there are a lot of transactions clients make to meet their various needs. SASSA thus cautions clients to exercise care in accessing their social grants.
In order to be eligible for the R350 COVID Social Relief of Distress Grant, applicants are urged by SASSA to regularly review and update their online banking information. To ensure that the proper social grant is paid to the right individual at the right time and place, SASSA will closely monitor the March payments.

- From the 4th of March, Sassa grants for the physically impaired or people with a disability will be released.

Sassa March 2024 Application Requirements
When applying for the SASSA R350 grant in March 2024, there are some documents that you will need to provide. These documents may include:

Application for the Sassa R350 grant can be done by following the steps below:
- Make sure that you have a valid South African ID number and an active cellphone number.
- Log on to the SASSA website and click on the “COVID-19 SRD” link on the homepage.
- Follow the process and complete the online application form.
- Once you have submitted your application successfully, you will receive an SMS with a reference number.
- You can then use the reference number to track the outcome of your application.
- Alternatively, you can apply through WhatsApp by sending the word “SASSA” to 082 0468 553. A chatbot will guide you through the application process.
