If you are a South African citizen, refugee, asylum seeker, or special permit holder between the ages of 18 and 60, experiencing financial hardship, and not receiving any social grants for yourself, you may be eligible to apply for the Sassa R350 SRD grant provided by the South African government. It is recommended that applicants begin their application as early as possible before the deadline.
During the application process, no documents need to be uploaded, as all required information will be delivered electronically. It is important to provide Sassa with a mobile number where they can contact you to inform you about the progress of your application. You can also track the progress of your application on the official Sassa website.
In case your application is rejected, you can file an appeal with the Department of Social Development for each month that your application was rejected. If no appeal is filed, the initial decision will be upheld. It’s worth noting that social relief of distress is usually offered for a limited period of up to three months, which may be extended for an additional three months.
Sassa R350 Srd Grants Application Date 2024
Each month, Sassa releases funds to be disbursed to beneficiaries of the R350 grant. Applications are to be made as soon as the applications are open. The funds will be received by applicants for continuous six-month after which if the situation o f an applicant does not change he/she can reapply.
Sassa R350 Srd Grants Application Eligibility 2024
The following are the person’s who qualify to receive Sassa Srd 350 grants;
- You must be a South African Citizen
- You must be a Refugee in South Africa
- You must be an Asylum Seeker in South Africa
- You must be a Special Permit Holder in South Africa
- You must be between 18 and 60 years old
- You must meet the means test, with an income of R624 or less per month
- You must be unemployed and NOT be receiving financial support from any other source
- You must have insufficient financial means to support yourself
- You must NOT be receiving any other social grants
- You must NOT be contributing towards or eligible for UIF payment
- You must NOT be receiving a stipend from NSFAS (National Student Financial Aid Scheme)

There are various ways to apply for Sassa R350 grants, choose from any of the following:

- Provide your personal details
- You will receive a Reference number, an OTP and a link to click
- Click on the provided link, fill in your OTP and verify your account
- Fill in your surname and ID number
- Confirm the personal details that you provided via the WhatsApp chat

- Fill in your ID number and mobile number and click “send SMS”
- You will receive a 6-digit OTP via SMS
- Insert the OTP number on the SRD website and click “verify pin”
