Sassa Stress Relief Grant Application 2024/2025
Sassa Stress Relief Grant is a once-off payment of R350 provided by the South African government to assist unemployed South African citizens, permanent residents, and refugees who are registered on the Department of Home Affairs database and are experiencing financial distress due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The grant is aimed at providing temporary relief to those who are struggling to make ends meet during the pandemic outbreak. The application process for the grant involves filling out an online application form on the official SASSA website, visiting your nearest SASSA office, or using the USSD code 1347737# on your mobile phone.
Applications are subject to approval and verification, and successful applicants will be notified via SMS or email. The payment will be made directly into the applicant’s bank account. The SASSA Stress Relief Grant is part of the South African government’s response to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and is intended to provide temporary financial relief to those who are most in need.

The processing of your application will start right away. After you submit your application, it will be examined for validity and the sincerity of your need for the service. You will receive your first month’s food parcel, voucher, or cash even if you do not have all the required documentation.
Every month of the year, applications are submitted.

Sassa Stress Relief Grant Application Qualification 2024/2025
The following are the peoples who qualify to receive Sassa Srd 350 grants;
- You must be a South African Citizen
- You must be a Refugee in South Africa
- You must be an Asylum Seeker in South Africa
- You must be a Special Permit Holder in South Africa
- You must be between 18 and 60 years old
- You must meet the means test, with an income of R624 or less per month
- You must be unemployed and NOT be receiving financial support from any other source
- You must have insufficient financial means to support yourself
- You must NOT be receiving any other social grants
- You must NOT be contributing towards or eligible for UIF payment
- You must NOT be receiving a stipend from NSFAS (National Student Financial Aid Scheme)

Applicants or their proxy will need to confirm or provide the below information to enable SASSA to consider their application:
- Confirmation that they have read and accepted the clauses in the Declaration and Consent Documents
- Personal Details
- Mobile Number (cell phone number)
- Employment Information and Lifestyle Sustainability Information
- Banking Information

Sassa Stress Relief Grant Application Process 2024/2025
To apply for the SASSA Stress Relief Grant, you can follow these steps:
- Visit the official SASSA website at www.sassa.gov.za.
- Click on the “Grants” tab and select “COVID-19 SRD Grant.”
- You will be directed to a new page where you can access the online application form.
- Fill in the required details on the form, including your personal information, employment status, and banking details.
- Submit your application online.
