SASSA To Appeal
SASSA To Appeal: SRD Appeal Status Check
The South African government’s SASSA (South African Social Security Agency) organization is in charge of managing social grants in the country. Social grants are public assistance programs that give money to South Africans who qualify but are unable to support themselves. The SASSA is in charge of making sure that these social grants are disbursed to qualified applicants in a prompt and effective way. The SASSA has been involved in judicial disputes and appeals involving the distribution of social assistance over the years.
After the Gauteng High Court ruled that SASSA’s decision to halt disability benefits during the COVID-19 epidemic was illegal and unconstitutional, the agency declared in 2021 that it would appeal the ruling.
Disability rights activists and opposition political parties disagree with this judgment, arguing that SASSA should put the needs of vulnerable persons ahead of legal disputes. The SASSA appeal and the legal and moral issues it raises will be discussed in this essay.

You will need to provide reasons why you believe the decision should be reviewed and any additional information or documentation to support your review.
- Attend the hearing: The SASSA Appeals Tribunal will schedule a hearing to consider your review. You will be notified of the date, time, and venue of the hearing.
- Receive the final decision: The SASSA Appeals Tribunal will make a final decision based on the evidence presented at the hearing. SASSA will notify you of the outcome of the review in writing.
