Srd Sassa Relief Grant
Srd Sassa Relief Grant Application
The Sassa Srd grant application is currently open to South African citizens, refugees, asylum seekers, and special permit holders who are between the ages of 18 and 60 have insufficient means, do not receive social grants on their own behalf, and are not eligible for or do not contribute to the UIF payment, and have no other financial support. The application deadline is approaching, so applicants are asked to start their applications as soon as they can.
Giving away food in the form of food vouchers or food parcels is regarded as a social relief of distress. Several provinces offer financial assistance in place of services. Social Relief of Distress normally lasts up to three months, but it is also subject to a three-month extension.
If your application is turned down, you have the option to contest the SASSA’s decision by filing a complaint with the Department of Social Development during the month your application was turned down. The news that your application has been rejected will include information on how to file an appeal. During each month that the application is turned down, a request for an appeal must be made; otherwise, the first judgement will stand.
