Many are South African students who are willing to further their education in either university or Tvet college but due to financial hardship, they end up on the streets. Parents or families with an annual income of R 350,00 or less find it difficult to pay for the tuition of their children nor are they also able to obtain bank loans or scholarships for their wards but with the help of Nsfas, students can now apply for bursaries from the government to support them in their education.
Students can apply for the 2024/2025 Nsfas from the 28th of September through to January 30th. Applicants are to apply for the bursary while the application windows are wide open because applications will be submitted after the application date will not be processed. Prior to the application process, applicants need to create a myNsfas account and provide and generate a password which will be used to login to the system anytime.
During the application period, applicants are to submit a working email address and a working phone number. Applicants are to be sure that the address and the number they provide are active and are in working condition because that will be the only medium by which Nsfas will be communicating with you concerning your application.
