Mynsfas Account Is Blocked

South African students who are currently enrolled or intending to apply to any of the public Tvet Colleges or Universities are eligible to apply for Nsfas(National Student Financial Aid Scheme). For students to apply or update their details or track their application statuses will need to create a myNSFAS account. First-time applicants applying for Nsfas and wanting to create an account with Nsfas are to provide a valid ID number, cell phone number and a working email address.

Applicants applying are encouraged to ensure that their contact details are correct and active because NSFAS will use those details to communicate essential updates regarding their application. If their contact details do change, they may revisit their profile to update their details. Personal details and passwords should be kept private to avoid identity theft or scammers from accessing the profile. Once the account has been created, a message confirming the account creation will pop on the screen.

It is important to accept the terms and conditions because it allows NSFAS to validate the information provided in the application. If the terms and conditions are not accepted, the applicant would not be able to create their myNSFAS account. Both public universities and Tvet College students can apply for Nsfas for the 2024/2025 academic year from the 28th of September through to the &th of January. The application date may be extended to the 21st of January but it is advisable to apply early while the application doors are open to prevent disappointments.

The online application for Nsfas will be open from the 28th of September and the application deadline is on the 7th of January.

 Why Is Mynsfas Account Is Blocked

Nsfas always makes sure that your account is always secured so scammers and fraudsters dont get access to it. However, there are some actions that are performed by account owner that leads to the blocking of their Nsfas account. Should a student(Nsfas Account Owner) enters his/her password wrongly three times on a roll, the system will identify it as a fraudulent action therefore the account will be blocked.

How To Create My Nsfas Account 2024/2025

The process below will guide students to create an account with Nsfas for the year 2024:

• Visit the official website of Nsfas@ https://www.nsfas.org.za
• Click on the myNSFAS tab in the top right corner.
• Fill in your personal details as they appear on your Identity Document (ID).
• Fill in your valid contact details.
• Accept the terms and conditions by ticking the box provided.
• Create a password to protect your account, confirm the password then click on ‘Create’.

How To Unblock Your MyNsfas Account

The below process will lead you to unlock your blocked Nsfas account:

• Log into your myNSFAS account
• Go to NSFAS Connect
• Create a case
• Submit a picture of your ID using a cell phone
• Provide your current cell number
• Indicate that your NSFAS Wallet is blocked
