Students who have had the opportunity to be funded by Nsfas for the year 2024/2025 can now also apply for Laptops which are fully funded by Nsfas. It is true that Nsfas provides funds for students to support them in paying for their accommodation, living allowance, transport and learning materials. They also provide various students with digital learning devices, such as laptops, which they need to complete their tertiary studies. In order to receive these laptops students must place an order online.
The Digital Learning Device Project, created by NSFAS, enables NSFAS-funded students to apply to obtain a laptop from their allowance for educational materials. Who Qualifies For My Nsfas Laptop Application 2024/2025
The list of persons below are eligible to apply for Laptops for Nsfas:
- Only students who currently have NSFAS funding can order the laptop.
- Student enrollment is required in order to attend a public university or TVET institution.
- Students must sign the T&Cs before purchasing a laptop.
- No student may now have a laptop from their school or TVET institution.

Starting on September 28 and continuing through January 31, applicants can submit their online applications for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) 2023. Everyone who wants to apply for NSFAS 2023 must, therefore, do so beforehand and make appropriate plans.
When Will Nsfas Laptops Be Received By Applicants For 2024/2025
- NSFAS laptop deliveries are anticipated to start on April 18, 2024, but there may be a delay.
Who Cannot Apply For Nsfas Laptop
If you find yourself among the list below, you are not eligible to apply for laptops from Nsfas:
- students who are not currently NSFAS funded
- Students who have previously been given a laptop by their university
- Laptops included in the enrollment package for students
- students who did not sign the terms and conditions when purchasing the laptop
- Students in Trimester 1 of TVET Colleges

Follow the process below to apply for a laptop from Nsfas:
- Go to the NSFAS webpage.
- Visit myNSFAS
- Visit the NSFAS laptop order page.
- Type your ID number.
- Enter any extra information, such as your student number, the name of the university and campus where you are registered, your contact information, and your address.
- Accept the T&C’s
Note: When you place your purchase for the laptop (by following the above methods) and you have satisfied all necessary inspections, NSFAS will get in touch with you to arrange for the pickup of your laptop at the campus where you are registered.

Students who have completed a previous qualification or students with a combined household income of more than R350 000 per annum are not eligible to register for Nsfas. Also, students who have already applied, qualified and received funding. They are automatically funded for the duration of their studies provided they pass their modules and meet the academic requirements and won’t be able to register again.
