My Nsfas Online Application 2024/2025
The online application for Nsfas 2024/2025 academic year has been open for South African students who are now applying or are currently studying in any of the public universities or Tvet Colleges. The Nsfas scheme opperates under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training a government agency that oversees the operations of higher educational institutes. Nsfas provides assistance to students who are willing to further their education but unfortunately come from a family with an annual income of R350 000 or less.
Disadvantaged students are to begin their application process by applying through the student portal of the Nsfas from the 28th of September through to the 7th of January. Applicants are to make sure they apply within the application period because that will be the only period that Nsfas accepts applications. All required documents must be submitted with the application form since applications cannot be processed without the documents to prove your eligibility.
Amounts indicated for accommodation, living allowance, transport and learning materials need to be aligned with the approved latest DHET guidelines. All South African citizens, All SASSA grant recipients, Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum, persons with disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum and Students who started studying before 2018 whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum are all qualified to receive Nsfas Funds.

On September 28 the NSFAS online submission portal will become operational for the upcoming academic year. The only day that applicants can view and submit award applications is on the NSFAS application opening day. The application will be closing on the 7th of January. Apply as quickly as possible to increase your chances.

Who Is Eligible For My Nsfas Online Application 2024/2025
The following persons are eligible to apply for Nsfas Funds for 2024/2025:
- All South African citizens
- All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
- Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
- A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
- Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.
My Nsfas Online Application Requirements For 2024/2025
- a certified copy of your South African ID card or birth certificate. a certified copy of your unabridged birth certificate is necessary if you are under the age of 18.
- A green bar-coded ID or an intelligent ID card are both invalid for 16-year-olds.
- IDs for the parents or guardians (death certificate)
- IDs for the parents or guardians (and a death certificate if applicable).
- If you have a job, you can submit pay stubs or appointment letters as evidence of your own or your guardian’s annual household income.
- (This applies to all sources of income for all family members, including grants from SASSA, the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), and retirement, life, disability, or other benefits received in a lump sum or over the course of a year.)

- Create your myNsfas account
- Click on apply you see on the screen
- Update all Nsfas online application 2024/2025 information before you proceed
- Upload all Nsfas supporting documents
- Click on the SUBMIT button to complete the process.
