Who Can Apply For The NSFAS Scholarship At NWU

You qualify for NSFAS financing if you are a South African citizen or permanent resident planning to attend or currently enrolled in a public university or TVET college.

  • Grant recipients from SASSA (the SASSA Covid-19 grant does not count)
  • those whose annual gross household income doesn’t exceed R350 000
  • Disability-affected individuals whose combined gross household income does not exceed R600 000 annually
  • Students who began their studies prior to 2018 and whose combined gross household income is not more than R122,000 annually are eligible.

Document To Apply NWU NSFAS

It is essential that you provide the appropriate supporting papers in order for NSFAS to approve your financing application in time for your admission at a higher education institution. The following supporting documents are required:

  • A copy of each applicant’s identification is required. an interim ID issued by the

  •  visit www.nsfas.org.za and select the “myNSFAS” page.
  • Create a myNSFAS account
  •  Select the “APPLY” tab, then fill out the fields on the screen.
  •  Upload any necessary supplemental materials.
  •  Select “Submit.”
