Sassa December Application 2024/2025
Sassa is now open and accepting applications for grants in the month of December. Every month of the year, Sassa gives grants to applicants who have applied. Sassa (The South African Social Security Agency) introduced the R350 grant in response to COVID-19 outspread. This grant was designed to provide short-term relief to unemployed individuals who are not receiving any other form of social grant or income. The application process for the R350 grant is done online and through WhatsApp.
To apply for the SASSA R350 grant in December 2024, you will need to have a valid South African ID number, an active cellphone number and submit your applications within the application date. You can visit the Sassa website and follow the instructions to complete the online application form. Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an SMS with a reference number, which you can use to track the status of your application.

- From the 3rd of December, Sassa grants for the aged will be released
- From the 4th of December, Sassa grants for the physically impaired or people with a disability will be released.

Who Qualifies For Sassa December Application 2024/2025

Should your application be declined, you will have the right to appeal the SASSA decision by lodging an appeal with the Department of Social Development for each month your application was declined. The process to lodge an appeal will be provided with the notification that your application has been declined.
