Sassa Disability Grant Online Application

You can apply for a disability grant if your physical or mental condition renders you unable to work for about six months and above. If your disability will stay longer than a year, you will receive a permanent disability grant; if it will last for a continuous period of between six and twelve months, you will receive a temporary disability grant. A permanent disability grant indicates that it will continue for more than a year but does not imply that you will always get it.

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) Disability Grant is a social grant provided to people with disabilities who are unable to work and earn a living due to their disability. The grant is designed to provide financial assistance to help cover the basic needs of individuals with disabilities and to help them lead dignified life.

To be eligible for the SASSA Disability Grant, an applicant must be a South African citizen or permanent resident, must have a disability that prevents them from working, and must meet the financial eligibility criteria. The amount of the grant varies depending on the level of disability and the applicant’s financial circumstances.
