follow these to apply for NSFAS Bursary at TUT for the academic year 2023

  • Create a new myNSFAS account or make changes to an existing one.
  • There are many pages on www.nsfas.org.za.
  • To access “myNSFAS,” click the tab.
  • Decide on “Register.”
  • To authorize NSFAS to validate your information, check the relevant box.

Documents Required for TUT NSFAS Applications 2023

The following documents need to be certified copies and can’t be older than three months. The South African Police Service or the South African Post Office must certify your paperwork. The following also applies if you are under 18 or above 18 but STILL DEPENDENT on your parent’s or guardian’s combined family income:

  • 18 years old, together with a certified copy of your birth certificate or South African identification.
  • You must present a certified copy of your unabridged birth certificate if you are 16 years old and do not have a green bar-coded ID or smart ID card.
  • IDs for the guardians or parents (death certificate)
  • IDs for the guardians or parents (and a death certificate if applicable).

Who Can Receive TUT NSFAS Funding 2023

To qualify for bursary applicant must possess the following

  • a South African national; a yearly household income of less than R350 000;
  • You received a grant from SASSA;
  • you are enrolled in a report 191 or National Certificate Vocational program at a TVET institution, or you are applying to a public university to start your first undergraduate degree;
  • You want to enroll in a public university or TVET college to earn a degree;
  • You have already filled out college applications, and your household’s annual income is less than R122 000;
  • For a TVET college, you need to have completed Grades 9 and 10, and for a university, you need to have finished Grade 12.
